Department of Electronics and Information Engineering

This department began its history in 1978. It was approved as a characteristic major in Shandong Province in 2010, and was approved as a first-class major construction site in Shandong Province in 2019. In 2021, it was approved as a national first-class major construction site. Professional construction relies on the "Information and Communication Engineering" academic degree master's degree and the "Electronic Communication Engineering" professional degree master's degree, and the level of talent training has been continuously improved.

At present, the main service objects are electronic information, marine information, petroleum and petrochemical and other related industries, and cultivate "thick foundation, wide caliber" high-quality compound talents who can work in the fields of modern electronic system design and intelligent information processing.

After graduating from a bachelor's degree, there is a relatively broad space for employment or further study. In the past five years, the employment rate of this major has been above 92%, and it has provided a large number of engineering technologies for my country's artificial intelligence, electronics, communication, measurement and control, software development and other industries (such as Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, Haier, etc.) And management talents, and in recent years, about 50% of the students have been recommended or admitted to Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China and other masters, doctoral students or graduate students from foreign universities. At present, the country is vigorously planning and developing the artificial intelligence industry, and the employment prospects of electronic information engineering graduates in high-tech enterprises are very good.
