In April 2023, Prof. Alejandro Frery from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, was invited to visited China University of Petroleum (East China). During his visit, he delivered a graduate-level course entitled Reproducibility and Replicability: Concepts and Tools that aimed to equip students with the necessary skills to develop research projects utilizing a range of communication tools, mind maps, Kanban, graphs, schedules, scientific document editing, reference management, statistical computing, effective plotting, and version control. Additionally, he gave academic talks related to SAR and series data processing.
The course and talks were met with positive feedback from both students and faculty, who found them to be informative and inspiring. The course effectively improved students' research skills, while the talks deepened their understanding of remote sensing and SAR image processing.
