In order to enhance students' international academic vision, at the invitation of Prof. Kaifei He from the College of Oceanography and Space Informatics, Prof. Yanming Feng from Queensland University of Technology came to our college for academic exchange.
At the afternoon of May 21st, Prof. Yanming Feng gave an academic report entitled "Application Case of Machine Learning Method and Geodetic Data Analysis" for our teachers and students. First, Prof. Yanming Feng introduced the problems and challenges existing in the traditional geodesy model method, and then introduced the application of machine learning method in the field of geodesy from the point of view of machine learning.Through the practical case of satellite orbit forecast, taking long-term historical data as the training model, the application process of machine learning method was introduced in detail. In the end, Prof. Yanming Feng had a warm discussion and in-depth communication with Prof. Peiliang Xu from Kyoto University, Prof. Kaifei He from UPC, Dr. Xing Su from Shandong University of Science and Technology, and the students.
Academic presentation on May 21
From May 22nd to 23rd, Prof. Yanming Feng taught the postgraduate course of International Week for our graduate students at Guzhenkou Campus. The subject of the course is: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence of Things and Applications. The Chineseassistant teachers are Prof. Kaifei He and Dr. Zhixi Nie.
Postgraduate International Education Week teaching site
In the course of the International Week, Prof. Yanming Feng first explained the concepts of IoT and AI to students, and proposed that AIoT is a combination of AI and IoT infrastructure. Then, he introduced the platform of network, positioning and computing technology and intelligent Internet of Things service. Finally, he introduced the application cases of AIoT related to geospatial information and positioning in agriculture, energy solutions, etc.The international course taught by Prof. Yanming Feng is rich in content and closely combines the latest IoT and AI with geodetic survey technology, which greatly expands the international perspective of teachers and students. During the lecture, Prof. Yanming Feng patiently communicated with students and answered various questions raised by students.
